Terms of Service

By using Keepsake, you agree to these terms. We've kept them as plain and readable as possible.

What Keepsake is

Keepsake is a personal journaling app. You write one entry per day, attach an emotion, and see your year visualised as a grid. It's available as a free plan and a paid plan (monthly or annual).

Your account

• You must be 13 or older to use Keepsake.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• One account per person.
• You may not use Keepsake for any illegal purpose.

Your content

You own your journal entries. We claim no rights over anything you write. You grant us a limited licence to store and display your entries solely to provide the service to you. We do not use your entries to train AI models or for any other purpose.

Free plan and paid plans

• The free plan is provided as-is, at our discretion.
• Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe (web) or in-app purchase (mobile).
• You can cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
• Refunds are available within 7 days of any charge. Email support@keepsake.day.
• Your entries are never deleted when you downgrade — you keep everything you've written.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to access another user's data.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the API.
• Use Keepsake to store illegal content.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Disclaimers

Keepsake is provided "as is." We don't guarantee uptime or data retention in the event of catastrophic infrastructure failure, though we take regular backups. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Keepsake is registered.

Changes to these terms

We'll notify users by email before any material changes take effect.
